UP1207.    U S waist belt plate recovered in Franklin, TN in good condition, the face has a strong U S, one end had some type of blow that has folded the edge in, the reverse has the early style peened stud hooks, has full lead, nice plate from one of the bloodiest battles of the war

UP1193.    Model 1839, "baby" U S waist belt plate in excellent condition, the face is damage free and has a pleasing mellow brass patina, the reverse has full, slick lead and both hooks, displays beautifully or would be a great buckle to wear today

UP1189.    Model 1859 sword belt plate, it is the enlisted man / NCO model that had the applied silver wreath, as is often the case, the wreath is MIA, the face has strong detail with wear on the high spots, it has a mellow brass patina, the reverse has the early style long, narrow tongue, has a good body curve

UP1184.    U S waist belt plate in very good condition, the face has strong letters with a chocolate brown patina, there's still dirt on the background so the letters really jump out, the reverse has full, slick lead except for one flake missing at the rim, has the early style puppy paw stud hooks, nice buckle

UP1179.    U S box plate in very good dug condition, the face is in great shape with only one small push to the rim, the reverse has full lead except for one flake where the rim is pushed, has remnants of one of the loops, recovered many years ago in Murfreesboro, TN

DR1177   U S box plate in very good dug condition, the face has strong letters and no damage, the reverse has nearly 100% of the lead fill with only slight loss around the rim, remnants of one hook

UP1169.    Model 1839, "baby" U S waist belt plate in excellent condition, the face has a pleasing brass patina and no damage, the reverse has both hooks and full, slick lead, these were replaced by the larger three hooks plate because the two hooks didn't stand up to the weight of a fully loaded belt, if you have ever wanted an original buckle to wear today, this would be it

UP1141. Federal carbine sling buckle in good dug condition, retains both tongue hooks which move freely, cast brass it is slightly heavier than most you see, the outer frame is in great shape, the cross bar has a slight upward bend, displays well

UP1094. British made tongue for a two piece buckle, this is a buckle I'm not familiar with, I showed it to several of my dealer and collector buddies and the consensus is pre-war militia but some thought it was post war, I do know it was found in Mobile, AL, it is heavily made, the belt loop is 2.25" tall, disc diameter is 1.25", the design is very similar to an early rifleman button, either way a cool military tongue
