UP1041. S N Y ( State of New York ) waist belt plate in very good condition, the face has strong letters and an even medium brown patina, it has three slight buckles from where the hook set has rusted but they have not broke through the brass, the reverse has full lead that the soldier carved his name into, but I can't quite make it out, has the early style stud hooks, this was recovered many years ago in the Petersburg, VA area, great buckle
