Pattern 1856 British Lancers single shot pistol in good condition, has an eight inch, .69 caliber barrel, the metal is smooth with a grayish-brown patina, the lock plate has the crown rear of the hammer and 1867 / BIRMINGHAM forward, brass furniture with a lanyard ring in the butt cap, has the original hinged ram rod, blade front sight and v rear sight, the walnut stock has expected dings and bruises but nothing major, the hammer holds at half and full cocked positions, the main spring is extremely weak so the hammer has to be nudged forward when fired, nice looking pistol that was manufactured in 1867, price reflects the post war date
