F1203. Starr Arms Company Model 1863 single action army revolver in good condition, has matching serial numbers of 25807, this is an early one as the serial numbers continued from the Model 1858, the metal is all in good shape with only the slightest pin prick, scattered pitting, was intelligently cleaned at some point and now has a dull, medium gray patina, eight inch barrel, the left side of the frame has a clear STARR ARMS CO., NEW YORK marking, and the right side is marked STARR'S PATETN JSN. 15, 1856, has numerous inspection marks and the grip has a faint cartouche, the one piece walnut grip is in great shape, the action is crisp and functions perfectly, the Starr revolvers were the third most government purchased revolvers of the war
