F1216. Remington-Beals Navy revolver in good condition, these are difficult to find with only approx. 14500 being manufactured in 1861 - 1862, the metal is smooth and free of pitting with a dark brow patina, the 7.5"is marked BEALS PATENT SEPT. 14, 1858 / MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS' ILION, N.Y., the second line is partially obscured from wear, the brass front sight also shows much wear from countless hours in the saddle, the walnut grips are in good condition, the cylinder pin is a replacement, the action functions perfectly but the main spring is a little weak, overall a nice example of a scarce weapon that saw a lot of service but has been well cared for
